Presentation of Torrecilla de la Jara

The municipality of Torrecilla de la Jara (212 inhabitants in 2021; 7,100 ha) is located 40 km south of Talavera de la Reina. The municipality is composed of the villages of Torrecilla de la Jara and La Fresneda de la Jara.

Flag: Rectangular panel twice longer than high, divided by a bretessed bend sinister, red on top and white on bottom, charged with the settlement(s coat of arms.

The coat of arms of Torrecilla de la Jara is prescribed by an Order issued on 16 October 1997 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 31 October 1997 in the official gazette of Castille-La Mancha, No. 49, p. 7,016 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Or a tower gules in chief two ashes proper surrounded by the "MARIA" anagram composed of interlaced letters "M" and "A" azure in base a rockrose [jara] proper.
