Symbols of Jete

The Municipality of Jete has its own symbols. The coat of arms was adopted by Ayuntamiento on 19.06.1985, but the flag appears in Wikipedia by user Erlenmeyer in 2010. I tried to find more with no luck, except a poster from 2025 (image from Facebook) where small image of the flag appears.

  • Coat of arms:

Description: Shield divided per pale and per fess. First, or, a tree vert; second, azure, a pomegranate or, split gules, stalked and left vert; third, argent, waves azure and argent. Crested with a closed royal crown.
Meaning: The tree symbolizes its agricultural wealth. The pomegranate represents its connection to the province. The waves allude to its proximity to the coast.

  • Flag:

Green field with coat of arms in the centre.
