The municipality of Valdastillas (321 inhabitants in 2019; 810 ha) is located 100 km north-east of Cáceres and 30 km north-east of Plasencia.

Flag of Valdastillas

The flag and arms of Valdastillas, adopted on 15 June 1990 and 29 June 1992 by the Municipal Council and validated on 15 October 1991 and 15 September 1992 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 16 September 1992 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 29 September 1992 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 76, p. 2,175 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Quadrangular. Composed of two equal horizontal stripes, the upper, green, and the lower, red.
Coat of arms: Gules a wall or with two towers of the same. A bordure vert four knitting combs [astillas] or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
