The municipality of Perales del Puerto (952 inhabitants in 2019 vs. 1,816 in 1950; 3,628 ha) is located 100 km north-west of Cáceres and 30 km north-west of Coria.

Flag of Perales del Puerto

The flag (photo) and arms of Perales del Puerto, adopted on 27 September 1995 and 22 March 1996 by the Municipal Council and validated on 16 February and 9 July 1996 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 17 July 1996 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 13 August 1996 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 94, pp. 4,299-4,300 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Composed of three horizontal stripes, the outer, white, and the central, green, in proportions 2:5, 1:5 and 2:5, respectively, with a vertical green stripe, in length 1/3 of the flag's length, charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms in full colors.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Argent two mounts vert a pear tree [peral] argent, 2. Argent a lion rampant guled. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
