Description

The flag of the INAFOCAMas seen online features the agency's logo centered on a white field. The logo has three colored rectangles, representing books on a bookshelf, with the one closest to the hoist having a colored dot above it as a lowercase "i". Toward the fly, extending out from the books, is the agency's acronym in lowercase letters, with the name spelled out below.

There's no doubt here: the flag is light blue instead white. Many photos in the web show clearly the background in light blue.

I poked around a little bit more and found a photograph of the INAFOCAM flag being carried by two people so that the entire design can be seen, and found that not only is the field pale blue, but the words "Ministerio de Educación" also appear above the INAFOCAM logo.

About the Institute

Instituto Nacional de Formación y Capacitación del Magisterio (INAFOCAM, National Institute for the Training and Education of Teachers) is a decentralized agency of the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Education, responsible for coordinating the training and education of teachers at the national level, according to the INAFOCAM website. INAFOCAM advises the Ministry of Education regarding the formulation and implementation of policies, training programs, and personnel requirements at all levels of the Dominican education system.
