The club changed its flag later. The year and reason I don't know. The new flag is a saffron flag with two green chevrons pointing to the fly.

Having asked for the reason Jochen Diestel, club's webmaster, wrote to me in January 2007 (my translation from German):
I wouldn't say that the flag is saffron but orange with two green chevrons (added by contributor: pointing to the fly). That's not for better but more correct. Probably the people, having the idea of that flag have been colourblind. To say it clear: the flag is ugly but reflecting the spirit of the 70ies and it looks like the carpets used at that time fortunately without little flowers. But it is unique and so we are proud of it."
According to Distel the reason to adopt a new flag was the merging of two clubs in 1972, and therefore the new flag has two chevrons.

flag(1910-1972)

The flag I contributed on 16 May 2006 is probably erroneous according to the following reasons: The flag was surely not used after 1972. According to Diestel it is at least for sure, that the inscriptions are black. But the image depicted in RA77 shows the capitals probably in an improper order.
Diestel made some enquiries for me asking some of the members of club before merging. But no one knew exactly the pattern of flag. He sent me another image of the flag, which shows probably the right pattern.
Description of flag:
It is a white flag with two red horizontal stripes, one stripe in the upper half the other in the lower half. The flag has a red fimbriated white canton divided by a red saltire and a black inscription "B"(hoist),"R"(top), "K"(fly) and "1910"(bottom). Between the red stripes is a red 5-point star slightly shifted to the fly.
