Gelchsheim Coat of Arms

Baroque shield parted per pale. At dexter Argent parted by a centred cross Sable, at sinister Or St. Mary dressed Gules and coated Azure, crowned Or, standing on a crescent recumbent Argent, holding Jesus Christ nimbed Or in her left arm.
The cross is referring to the Teutonic Order, to which castle and village belonged since 1401. St. Mary is the patron saint of the order. The flag colours are those of the order.
