Shield Gules, an open wreath Argent, charged in base with a heraldic rose of the same, above an anchor and a fasces in saltire, both Argent.
Meaning:
Since 1971 Ühlingen incorporated seven municipalities, finally on 1 January 1975 also Birkendorf. The name was however changed to Ühlingen-Birkendorf. The arms are based on seals from the 19th century. The reasons for the choice of its charges are unknown. From 1903 until 1964 there had been eight heraldic roses on the wreath.
