Weilheim Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a castle Gules with three embattled towers with bigger central tower, windows and port Argent with open wings Or.
Meaning:
The oldest seal, proven since 1261 displayed a crescent and three stars on a shield. Its meaning is unknown. The current pattern was displayed on prints of local seals since 1374 and remained basically the same since then. A lying "S" on a stamp from the 15th century was misinterpreted as a flame, reminding on the conquest of the castle in Peißenberg by the citizens of Weilheim in 1388. The seals and coloured paintings of the amrs are congruent since the 16th century.

The banner was in use at least since 1968, probably earlier. The arms are in use since the 14th century.
