Pittenhart Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a mace Or in bend sinister, superimposed by a linden leaf Argent in bend with an embowed stem.
Meaning:
The mace is a differentiation of the family arms of the Lords of Sonderndorf. Their family arms displayed two maces in saltire. The leaf fixed on an embowed stem is taken from the arms of the Benedictine Seeon Abbey, which displayed a red leaf issuant from a black triplemount on a silver shield. The abbey had been an important manorial lord until its secularisation in 1803.
