Frankenwinheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules three piles Argent, at sinister Or a pair of scissors Gules.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the Franconian rake and is here just a canting element, because Franken appears in the name of the municipality. The scissors display the family arms of the Lords of Scherenberg, whose seat had been Frankenwinheim until the end of the 15th century. Furthermore Rudolf II of Scherenberg had been Bishop of Würzburg. After the 15th century the village was split between the abbeys of Ebrach and Mariaburghausen and the families of Bibra, Henneberg and Rid. At the end of the 17th century the Lords of Guttenberg gained complete control.
