Pfaffing Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent three lozenges Azure in fess, at sinister parted per fess of Sable and Argent a lion rampant in counterchanged tinctures.
Meaning:
The lozenges are taken from the arms of the Benedictine Attel Abbey, which owned large estates in Pfaffing, Farrach and Ebrach. The lion appears in the arms of the founder of the Rott (upon Inn) Abbey since the middle of the 15th century. The abbey owned large estates in Pfaffing, Lehen and Steinhart. The lion also reminds on the Palatine Counts of Wasserburg. Blue and white are the colours of Bayern.
