A Verbandsgemeinde (VG) is a a group of several municipalities combined into an administration community. There are four cities in VG Rhens with the combined population of 8,679. Rhens City is the Mayen-Koblenz county seat located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. They adopted the illustrated flag on 27 June 1974.
