Trebsen Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a castle Gules with wall masoned Sable, three towers Gules, port and windows Sable, the central tower bigger topped by a bell shaped roof and the side towers by cone roofs, the wall charged with two rectangular escutcheaons, at dexter parted per fess of Sable and Argent over all two swords Gules in saltire, at sinister barry of ten of Sable and Or over all a crancelin Vert.
Near a local castle a settlement was established around 1150, which was called a village in 1404 and a city first in 1518. The arms are based on a city seal from the 17th century, having a circumscription "SIGILLVM CIVITATIS DRIBSENSIS" (= seal of the city of Trebsen). In between the pattern was restored by a cypher showing the intertwined initials "ST". The old pattern was restored in 1890. The castle is stressing the status of a city. The shields are those of Sachsen, at dexter the arms of the duke as archmarshal of the Holy Roman Empire.
