Steinhöring Banner

Description of banner:
It is a blue - white - black vertical tricolour. The coat of arms is slightly shifted to the top.
The designs of the flag proposals contained two versions, where the arms was not directly placed on the stripes, but either on a white circle or on a white hexagon.

Steinhöring Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess into silver (= white) over blue. Above is the bust of a black ibex. Below is a silver (= white) postal horn.
Meaning:
The ibex is taken from the arms of the Delling family, which owned the seat of a patrimonial court from 1684 up to the 19th century. The ibex is also a canting element. The horn is alluding to a coaching inn in the village, located alongside an important Bavarian road connection from the West to the East. The base colours are those of Bavaria.

The banner was approved on 29 September 1987 by district government of Oberbayern. The coat of arms was approved on 12 August 1970 by Bavarian ministry of interior.
