Piding Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Gules two keys Argent in saltire, beneath Or a lion's head Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The keys are an attribute of St. Peter and are taken from the arms of the Augustine Höglwörth Abbey, an important manorial lord, The head of a lion is a differentiation of the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, to which Piding belonged until 1810. The Staufeneck Castle in the village had been an important border fortress of the archbishops.
