Laupheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above parted per pale, at dexter Vert a fess Argent, at sinister Gules, beneath Argent, issuant from a triplemount Or three leaves Vert.
Meaning:
The market town had been seat of the Lords of Welden from 1570 until 1840. It gained city rights in 1859. The upper part displays the arms of the Welden kin. The lower part displays three canting leaves (foliage/ German: Laub). The triplemount is symbolising the location of the city is situated on the hills around the Riß river.

The arms were granted in 1596 by Palatine Count Sebastian Röttinger. The flag colours are in use since 1848.
