Overview

According to www.gobmagdalena.gov.co,  Department Magdalena now has 30 stars on the flag. (a star = a municipio).

The coat of arms of the Department of Magdalena was adopted in late XIX century, by a design submitted by local painter Alvaro Corvacho.
