Translated from municipal web site: "The flag of Pajarito, with the green colour, representing the hope of our people, and the sapodilla colour, representing the prefered fruit in our municipality, sapodilla."
"The coat of arms of Pajarito is made of mountains, belonging to the Province of La Libertad and located in the south-east of Boyacá. The tree is the "ceibo" planted in the main park and more than 100 years old. The bull represents cattle-breeding in the region. River Cusina, watering our fields."
The sapodilla tree is Manilkara achras (L.) P. Royen, Family Sapotaceae as photographed in Pajarito. The ceibo tree must be Erythrina crita-galli L., family Fabaceae (known as "coral tree" in Los Angeles, USA) as photographed in the main park
