In white, a red cross patty extending to the edges which encloses a black orb with silver setting at the top
right.
The cross in the inverted colours of the monastery is a reminder of the close ties between Bottighofen
and the Münsterlingen monastery. The imperial orb refers to the affiliation of the municipality to the
Eggen bailiwick.
