The arms of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton are "Gules chevron argent charged with a
cross sable cantoned in chief by a ruffed grouse and a hare the two argent
Divided wavy in case azure a brook trout argent. The shield surmounted by a sun
shadow or and supported by two branches of maple vert tied in base. A scroll or
inscribed with the motto (ENSEMBLE VERS L'AVENIR' [Together towards Future]."
The arms and motto ere designed by Gaétan Thériault.
The white
chevron represents the Calvary Mountain on which a cross was erected.
The
three animals symbolize the natural environment.
The fir and the maple
branches represent forests.
The blue base recalls the several lakes of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton.
The sun symbolizes the village's raise.
