About the Flag

The municipality of Itaúna do Sul (3,585 inhabitants in 2010; 12,887 ha) is located 600 km north-west of Curitiba.

The flag and arms of Itaúna do Sul were designed by Washington Batista de Souza, then student at Colégio Estadual Rui Barbosa, winner of a public contest organized with the Municipal Chamber. The winner is now a civil engineer living in Campo Largo.
