About the Flag

The flag of Icaraíma, designed by José Vicente da Silva, is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 8 promulgated on 12 April 1972.

The dimensions of the flag are those of the national flag.
Blue and white represent "Blessed Water", the conventional translation of toponym Icaraíma.
The central emblem represents dedication to the motherland and the town through the green, yellow, blue and white colors.
The boat sailing on river Paraná symbolizes river navigation, one of the main means of transport of Icaraíma's production.
The crown has six capitals, only four of them visible.
