Perl Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent a bend Gules, charged with three scallops Argent, over all in chief a label Azure with five points; at sinister Gules two keys Argent in saltire.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the old arms of Perl, a modification of the family arms of the Lords of Sierck, based in nowadays Sierck-le-Bains. Jakob I of Sierck had also been Archbishop of Trier from 1439 until 1456. The keys are attributes of St. Peter, patron saint of the Archbishopric of Trier, to which Perl historically belonged.

Klaus-Michael Schneider, 7 Mar 2020

The arms were approved on 22 August 1975 by Minister of Interior of Saarland.
