Langenzenn Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, in base an inescutcheon in bend, quartered of Argent and Sable, topped by a great helm Argent, crested by a hound quartered of Argent and Sable.
Meaning:
The full arms of the Burgraves of Nürnberg had already displayed on local seals around 1368. Prints are known since 1390. The pattern remained basically the same until the 19th century. Until 1954 the crest was omitted in local seals and the tinctures of the shield were changed to white and blue since 1818. The flag colours are those of the burgraves.
