The arms are Argent, in central chief a 5-point star Azure, two beehives Sable emphasized Argent at dexter and sinister edge, a windmill wheel Sable roped Sable and dressed Azure, all set per cross. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SANTA CRUZ - ALMODÔVAR"
Meaning:
"santa cruz" means "holy cross"; the four charges on the arms being set per cross may be a hint to this meaning (canting).

Santa Cruz Commune is one of the six communes of Almodôvar Municipality (q.v.); it had 898 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 123,82 km².
