Wüstheuterode Coat of Arms

The shield is parted per pale. At dexter in a blue field a silver bishop with black crozier and a red book, charged with a silver Latin cross and pierced by a black dagger. The sinister half is parted per fess. Above in a silver field is a red flame. Beneath in a red field is a silver 6-spokes wheel.
Meaning:
The wheel is representing the Archbishops of Mainz, the former rulers. The flame is reminding on the complete destruction of the place by fire in the 15th century. The bishop is St. Boniface, the local patron saint, who appeared in this very pose already in local medieval seals.
