Coat of Arms

The arms are divided by an embowed chevron reversed Or; above Gules a 6-point star Argent, beneath Azure, charged with a horseshoe Argent at dexter and a winemaker's knife Argent at sinister.
Meaning:
The arms are more or less those of the former Seeheim municipality. The star is taken from the arms of the Counts of Erbach. Plough share and knife are symbols for the importance of agriculture and viticulture in the village. The meaning of the chevron is not known. The arms were granted to Seeheim in 1596 by Count Georg of Erbach. It appears also in images in the municipal hall and the local church from 1599. The tinctures are in use since 1956, the colour of the chevron was fixed in 1966. In the arms of Seeheim-Jugenheim the plough share was replaced by a horseshoe, which was taken from the arms of former Jugenheim municipality.
