Winterlingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per fess of Argent and Gules, at sinister Or, three attires Sable in fess, ordered per pale.
Meaning:
The seal of the village mayors until 1830 displayed an initial "W", surrounded by a leafy wreath. In 1930 a new coloured punch was introduced, displayingthe Hohenberg tinctures (white over red), superimposed by a green linden. The flag colours are derived from this pattern. The current pattern was introduced in 1951. The dexter half is alluding to the fact that the municipality belonged to the Counts of Hohenberg until 1264. The sinister half is alluding to the fact that Württemberg acquired the village in 1387.
