Nine-year-old Caden Stangl proposed a
new flag to the Oswego Village Board in June 2023. The new flag was not adopted
but was named an honorary village flag that would be flown in August 2023.
The flag incorporates the colors of Oswego High School and Oswego East High
School, along with references to the Fox River, land, freedom and strength. The
design has not been redrawn, but the original drawing has been printed on the
flag.
