Flag of Gorje

The flag and arms of Gorje (municipal website) are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Gorje (text), adopted on 24 April 2008 and published on 30 April 2008 in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 42/2008.
The minutes from the 6th session of the Municipal Council of Gorje, dated 22 August 2007, include the text of the public contest for the municipal flag and arms, Javni natečaj za oblikovanje občinskega grba in zastave Občine Gorje, open until 24 September 2007. The next act in the same document, Sklep o imenovanju posebne komisije, prescribes the composition of the jury for the contest.

The flag is divided blue-green fimbriated white and with the municipal coat of arms in the centre.
The vertical flag has the coat of arms offset to bottom.

The Decision actually does not provide for the proportions of the flag and is far from clear whether it describes the horizontal or vertical flag. It mentions the vertical flag explicitly, but if I am not much mistaken, it assumes that there is also the horizontal flag (as it forbids the hoisting of inappropriately tailored flag vertically).

The colour specifications are given as (CMYK):

Blue	100 20 0 0
Green 100 0 100 20
Yellow 0 10 100 0

The coat of arms of Gorje is "Divided per bend wavy azure fimbriated in base argent, or three juniper trees vert and vert a bell or".
The wavy line with its white fimbriation represents the richness and cleanness of the river Radovna. The trees represent the richness of forests, wood and ores, and the number three stands for the three large woodland areas of the Triglav national park: Pokljuka, Radovna valley and Mežakla. The bell represents the development of the bellmaking craft* in the region.

*Though actually, as this is a cowbell, one would expect it to represent cattle raising rathen than bellmaking.
