The Flag

The Saudi Ports Authority (الهيئة العامة للموانئ - al-Hayyat al-’Amat lil-Mawani) is a government agency that supervises the ports of Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 1976 as an independent agency of the Prime Minister's office, to bring together the governance and operations of the multiple ports of the country to one office.

The Authority supervises the Saudi ports system, which is considered one of the most developed ports, not only in the region, but also at the international level, as it occupies a leading position in the list of ports in the region, especially since it is located on a strategic corridor linking Asia, Europe and Africa, which made Saudi ports a vital artery for international trade and a major influence in the maritime navigation movement.
