Description of the flag

Blagoveshchenskiy County in 2022 became Blagoveshchenskiy Municipal District and all its 11 municipalities were dissolved. The first coat of arms and flag were adopted on 28.09.2009. However, the Heraldic Commission wasn't satisfied and a new set of modified symbols was adopted on 16.12.2009. When the County became a Municipal District, the crown of the coat of arms was changed on 07.10.2022, but the flag remains the same.

The first version of the flag is a rectangular panel consisting of two horizontal stripes of azure (blue) and green (in a ratio of 1/3) separated by a wavy white band. The length of the panel is related to its width as 3:2.

The second version is a rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2:3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms in green, blue, white, and yellow colors.
