Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a mountain issuant Vert, above an impending cross fleury fitchy Gules flanked by two crescents recumbent Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CABEÇA GORDA".
Meaning:
The cross is referring to the Order of Santiago, not to the saint, who is not the local patron saint.
