Coat of arms

Shield Azure, two fleur-de-lis Or set in fess, issuant from base a mount Argent, in chief a mattock's blade Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MARTIM - BARCELOS".
Meaning:
The fleur-de-lis are attributes of St. Mary, as Our lady of Expectation being the local patron saint.
