Description of the flag

The green-field flag of Iran's "Islamic Development Coordination Council" which coordinates the planning of national funerals and Shia-revolution holidays. This council was formed on 3 August 1980. The " دفتر هماهنگی تبلیغات اسلامی " (Islamic Propaganda Coordination Office) was established on August 1, 1980 but later changed its name to " شورای هماهنگی تبلیغات اسلامی " (Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council) due to its similarity with the "دفترهماهنگی رئیس‌جمهور" (Presidential Coordination Office).

Originally its members were:
- "وزارت فرهنگ و ارشاد اسلامی" (Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance)
- "جهاد سازندگی" (Jihad of Construction) (1979–2001) (merged in 2001 to form the (Ministry of Agricultural Jihad)
- " سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی" (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps)
- "سازمان تبلیغات اسلامی" (English: Islamic Propaganda Organization)
- "سازمان صدا و سیمای جمهوری اسلامی ایران" (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization)
- "بنیاد شهید و امور ایثارگران" (Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs)
- "سازمان مجاهدین انقلاب اسلامی" (Organization of the Mujahideen of the Islamic Revolution) (1979-1986)
- "دفتر تحکیم وحدت" (Office of Consolidating Unity)
- "حزب جمهوری اسلامی" (Islamic Republic Party) (1979-1987)
- " جامعه‌ی روحانیت مبارز" (The Community of militant clergy), also known as "جامعه روحانیت مبارز" (Society of Combatant Clergy)

According to the Statute approved by Parliament it is a public and non-governmental institution responsible for the planning, coordination, formulation of policies, supervision and execution of official ceremonies and public relations of the Islamic Republic. In Article 13 regarding the "The Assembly of Representatives" consists of the full-fledged representatives of the following agencies and institutions, who are introduced by the highest authority of that agency or institution, and are required to provide the necessary cooperation in various fields of propaganda, support and other fields related to the duties of the Council during the ceremonies and occasions stipulated in this statute, in accordance with the policies announced by the Council:

- "وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری" (Ministry of Science, Research and Technology)

- "سازمان صدا و سیمای جمهوری اسلامی ایران" (English: Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization)
- " سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی" (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps)
- "سازمان تبلیغات اسلامی" (Islamic Propaganda Organization)
- "شورای سیاستگذاری ائمه جمعه" (Friday Imams Policy Council)
- " سازمان بسیج و مستضعفین" (Basij and Mostazafin Organization)
- "ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح" (General Staff of the Armed Forces)
- "بنیاد شهید و امور ایثارگران" (Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs)
- "ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران" (Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran)
- "نیروی انتظامی جمهوری اسلامی ایران" (Police Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran)
- "نهاد نمایندگی مقام معظم رهبری در دانشگاهها" (The Supreme Leader's representative body in universities)
- "سازمان تربیت بدنی" (Physical education organization) (dissolved in 2010 and its functions absorbed by the Ministry of Sport and Youth)
- " شورای‌عالی استانها" (Supreme Council of Provinces)
- " سازمان ملی جوانان" (National Youth Organization) (renamed Supreme Youth Council, dissolved in
2010 and its functions absorbed by the Ministry of Sport and Youth)
- "مرکز امور زنان و خانواده" (Center for Women and Family Affairs)
- "سازمان فرهنگ و ارتباطات اسلامی" (Islamic Culture and Communications Organization)
- "کمیته امداد امام خمینی (ره)" (Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (RA)

It was initially based at Shahid Motahari High School in Tehran.
