A white flag with a red-and-blue border at the top and bottom is popular among
the fans.

There are also flags that were used from the 1960s to 1990. They had two
variants of the emblem, one from the 1960s (simpler) and the other from the
1970s (more complex), both variants were used in parallel until 1990.

First flag

The club's first flag described as red and blue with the word "HAJDUK" in white
can be seen in a scene from the TV series Velo misto (there is no
official English title for the series).

While the first flag, if its design is still in use, might really employ the
displayed typeface now, it certainly did not employ it originally. If I remember
correctly after more than 40 years (the series was originally broadcasted in
early 1980s), the typeface employed on the flags used in the series was much
closer to those employed by the presented flags from the 1960s and 1970s. Since
the founding of the club in 1911 and its subsequent history until 1947 make an
important part of the story, and a great effort was made to make the visual
aspect look historically accurate, that reconstruction of the flag can be
trusted. If only the original videos could still be found (YouTube, maybe?) ...

I couldn't find a photo showing what that first flag actually looked like;
instead, there were written records describing it. Of course, the font used back
then was more or less arbitrary – unlike today, when every little detail is
scrutinized.
It's all from the series, so here are photos of the scene
where it can be seen (photo 1, photo 2). It was on Youtube, but I don't know if it is still there,
I took it out about 10 years ago and luckily I didn't lose the pictures
(although I already deleted some pictures and links for other clubs, but luckily
I drew the flags before losing that data). Now I determined the font as
approximately as I could, and on the other hand, it was not so important then,
the main thing is that it should be written.
