Presentation of Bilice

The municipality of Bilice (2,307 inhabitants in 2011) is located just north of Šibenik, on the shore of Lake Prokljan. It has 2,200 inhabitants.
The municipality was formed in 2002 by separation from the Town of Šibenik.

Flag of Bilice

The symbols of Bilice are prescribed by Statutory Decision Statutarna odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Bilice, adopted on 29 May 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 28 June 2007 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Šibensko-kninske županije, No. 7 (with drawings of the symbols).

The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is in a semi-circular shield, "Azure a swan argent beaked or with an eel of the first in it standing on a buoy gules issuant from barullets wavy also argent".
The waves symbolize the sea, "since the sea and freshwater are being mixed in the Prokljan Lake". The swan and eel symbolize the natual life in the lake.

The table flag (photo) is a blue vertical flag ending triangularly, edged yellow, with the coat of arms in the centre, the municipality name in an arch and a line above, and olive and grapevine branches below.
