The Communauté de communes du Pithiverais (31 municiplities; 29,351 inhabitants in 2016; 49,050 ha) was created in 2017 as the merger of the former Communauté de communes Beauce et Gâtinais, Cœur du Pithiverais and Plateau Beauceron.

The Communauté de communes Val de Sully (19 municiplities; 24,790 inhabitants in 2016; 59,030 ha) was created in 2017 as the merger of the former Communauté de communes of Sulliais and Val d'Or et Forêt and of the municipality of Vannes-sur-Cosson.
