Arcadia Muñoz, Mayor of Aldehuela de Liestos, declared to the "Europa Press" Agency, 1 June 2008, that the village shall unveil its flag and coat of arms before next autumn. The two symbols shall "be based on the light blue of the water of river Piedra and on gold colour." The symbols shall also depict "acorns and branches of rosmarin in gold recalling the mountains surrounding the village," also "typical" plants of the region, and "wheat spikes" symbolizing "the importance of agriculture." In the center of the shield of arms and of the flag shall be depicted "a donjon," recalling the village castle.

The symbols were designed by the Chair "Barón de Valdeolivos" of the "Institución Fernando el Católico," an institute depending of the Provincial Council of Zaragoza, which also designed other municipal symbols recently adopted in the area.

The approval and presentation of the symbols are expected to occur in August-September.
