Presentation of Valdecarros

The municipality of Valdecarros (384 inhabitants in 2012; 2,723 ha) is located in the southeast of the Salamanca Province, 30 km from Salamanca.

Symbols of Valdecarros

The flag and arms of Valdecarros are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 12 December 2012 by the Municipal Council, signed on 4 July 2013 by the Mayor, and published on 18 July 2013 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 137, p. 49,540 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Contraembrazada gules and argent [white with a red triangle pointing from the fly to the mid hoist], charged with the proper coat of arms. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown.
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1a. Or a cart [carro] proper, 1b. Vert a ploughshare argent per bend sinister charged with a spike or per bend, 2. Checky of 15 pieces, eight argent and seven azure. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown.
