Presentation of Alaior

The municipality of Alaior (Spanish, Alayor; 9,097 inhabitants in 2017, 10,986 ha) is located in the south-east of Minorca. Alaior was granted the municipal status in 1439 and the rank of ciudad in 1926. The town is the centre of shoe-making industry in Menorca.
