Symbols of Villalba del Rey

The flag of Villalba del Rey (photo, photo) is prescribed by an Order issued on 12 July 2006 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 24 July 2006 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 150, pp. 16,115-16,116 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular in proportions 2:3, made of a red panel with three white stripes converging in the hoist's lower angle from the center of the upper part, the fly's upper angle and the fly's center, and a white Royal crown open in the hoist's upper angle.

The coat of arms of Villalba del Rey is prescribed by an Order issued on 12 July 2006 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 24 July 2006 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 150, p. 16,116 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per fess, 1a. Argent three arrows gules in pale, 1b. Vert a bundle of three spikes or, 2. Gules three houses or surmounted by a Royal crown open of the same. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

The Royal Academy of History rejected the proposed symbols. The second part of the place name ("the King's") alludes to the King of Castile, not to any king. Accordingly, it is little appropriate to represent this by a crown, which is, anyway, of little relevance as a charge to be placed in a shield. Grain production, represented by the spikes, is not specific to the municipality. The two charges should be suppressed to increase the simplicity and good style of the arms, "Per pale, 1. Argent three arrow gules in fess, 2. Gules three houses or in pale. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown."
As a consequence, the crown should be suppressed from the flag
