The municipality of Sierra de Fuentes (1,998 inhabitants in 2019; 2,500 ha) is located 15 km south-east of Cáceres.

Flag of Sierra de Fuentes

The flag (photo, photo) and arms of Sierra de Fuentes, adopted on 20 July 1990 by the Municipal Council and validated on 7 May 1991 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 25 June 1991 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 4 July 1991 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 51, pp. 1,375-1,376 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular. Horizontally divided yellow and green. Charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms in full colors.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a castle or port and windows azure, 2. Argent a lion purpure crowned and armed or. Grafted in base Or a rock with fountains issuing proper. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

The lower quarter forms a rebus of the town's name; lit. Fountains' Mount.
