    Zingst Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per fess wavy, above divided per pale. Above right in a blue field is a golden (= yellow) trident. Above left in a silver (= white) field are three silhouettes of black cranes ordered more or less vertically. Below in a golden (= yellow) field is a red, rampant griffin, armed golden (=yellow) and holding a silver (= white) anchor in his claws.
The griffin is symbolising that the municipality belongs to Vorpommern. The anchor is symbolising shipping and fishery in the past. The wavy line and the trident are symbolising the location on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Finally the cranes are symbolising the national park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft, being shelter and sanctuary for many migrant birds.
