Kronburg Coat of Arms

Shield Argent parted by a bend wavy Vert, above left a wolf rampant Sable crowned Or, at sinister two houses Gules in bend seen from gable.
Meaning:
In 1977 the municipality merged with Illerbeuren and Kadorf. The bend wavy is a representation of the Iller River. The wolf is taken from the arms of the Lords of Westernach, who ruled the Lordship of Kronburg since 1619 and lived in the local fortress. The family belonged to the Swabian division of the Imperial Knights and was upgraded to barons in 1693. The lordship was acquired by Bayern in 1806. The houses together with the bend wavy are canting and representing Illerbeuren, which means "houses upon Iller". Illerbeuren was the oldest settlement of the lordship and was first mentioned in 948.
