Sternenfels Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, issuant from base e three level rock Azure, on its top a reversed 7-point star Gules.
Meaning:
According to the Forestal Journal of Kieser (1684) the village used as a local symbol on boundary stones a 6-point star on top of a two level rock. This pattern appears also on local seals from the 19zh and 20th century. It displays the family arms of the Barons of Sternenfels, living in the village since 1232. The tinctures were fixed in 1964.
