Spiesen-Elversberg Coat of Arms

Shield crampet, in base Or a crowned lion rampant Gules holding a pit lamp Sable with glass Argent and flame Gules by his forepaws, at either side Gules a throughout cross Or.
Meaning:
A red lion had been in the arms of the earliest Counts of Saarbrücken, who owned the village. The pit lamp is alluding to mining. The yellow crosses are symbolising the abbeys of Wadgassen and Neumünster, which shared the ownership in the village.
