Frankenblick Coat of Arms

Shield quartered; 1st quarter Sable a lion rampant Or; 2nd quarter Argent a crozier Gules and a sword Gules in saltire; 3rd quarter parted per fess, above parted per pale of Argent and Gules, beneath Azure; 4th quarter parted per pale, at dexter Or a pair of shearer's scissors Sable, at sinister Gules a chevron Argent.
Meaning:
The 1st quarter is representing the Dukes of Sachsen-Coburg as former local rulers and is representing the former Mengersgereuth-Hämmern Municipality. The 2nd quarter is representing the former Effelder Municipality. The charges had been in base of the municipal arms of Effelder and are attributes of St. Kilian, the local patron saint. The lower half is also the lower half of the municipal arms of the former Rauenstein Municipality. The 3rd quarter furthermore displays the family arms of the Counts of Schaumburg, former local rulers. The 4th quarter displays a differentiation of the family arms of the Lords of Sonneberg, other former local rulers.

Effelder Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a crozier Argent and a sword Argent in saltire, mantle Argent, charged at dexter with a linden leaf Vert and at sinister with an apple Vert, both on a short branch of the same.
Meaning:
The linden leaf is alluding to the local dance linden, which had been planted in 1707. The apple is a canting element, as the name of the municipality means "at the apple trees". Crozier and sword are the attributes of St. Kilian, the local patron saint.

Mengersgereuth-Hämmern Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter Sable a lion rampant Or, at sinister Or a hen Sable armed Gules on top of a triplemount issuant Vert; beneath Argent, three firs Vert in fess on a base of the same.
Meaning:
The hen, sometimes called rooster, displays the family arms of the Counts of Henneberg, former local rulers since 1340, who were succeeded by the Dukes of Sachsen-Coburg, represented by the lion. The fir trees are taken from the seal of the municipality, made just after the merger in 1923. The trees are symbolising the local forests.
