Gottmadingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent, a pale Gules, charged with three balls Or; at sinister Azure, a lion rampant Or.
Meaning:
The first municipal seal from the 1820ies displayed grain ears in saltire, a sickle, a scythe, a rake and a hayfork, surrounded by a vine wreath, in base in Petra Sancta code a red shield, charged with a golden bend. Later seals had a simplified pattern, just displaying a grapevine behind crossed sheaves. In 1904 the municipality adopted a modification of the family arms of the Barons of Deuring, displaying a golden lion in a blue shield, holding an inescutcheon, parted per pale of red, blue and Argent, the blue stripe charged with three golden balls in pale. The municipality applied for a simplification. The result had been the current arms.
